Privacy Policy

1. Overview

RoboRent ("we", "our", "the Platform") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how it is used. By using RoboRent, you agree to this policy.

2. Data We Collect

We collect: (a) Account data — email address, display name, and optional profile information you provide; (b) Usage data — pages visited, tasks created or accepted, actions taken on the platform; (c) Wallet data — USDT wallet addresses for withdrawals and transaction history on our platform (not your external wallet); (d) Auth data — session tokens managed by Supabase Auth. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from Google.

3. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication (Supabase session cookies). We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or third-party analytics cookies. Your cookie preference is stored in local storage. See our full Cookie Policy on the About page.

4. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used to: operate and improve the platform, process payments and escrow, enforce our Terms of Service, send important service notifications (not marketing), and provide dispute resolution. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

5. Data Sharing

We share data with: Supabase (database and authentication infrastructure), NOWPayments (crypto payment processor for deposits and withdrawals). Public profile data — display name, reputation score, and completed task count — is visible to other users. Wallet addresses you provide for withdrawal are stored but not publicly displayed.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Transaction records are retained for a minimum of 3 years for financial compliance. You may request account deletion at any time — see Section 8.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including TLS encryption in transit, bcrypt password hashing (where applicable), JWT-based auth with short expiry, and row-level security policies in our database. No system is 100% secure — notify us immediately if you discover a vulnerability.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you, correct inaccurate data, request deletion of your account and associated data (subject to legal retention obligations), and export your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the platform.

9. Children

RoboRent is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has registered, contact us and we will delete the account.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes via email or platform notice. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
